If there is not enough breast milk or there is none at all, infant formula can be used to replace it from birth, and follow-on formula is suitable for the varied and balanced menu of babies over 6 months old.

A healthcare professional should be consulted before using formula. When feeding from a feeding bottle, the child may refuse the breast and the production of breast milk may decrease. If you stop breastfeeding, it will be difficult to return to it later.

If you do not have enough, or at all, breast milk, Salvest Põnn infant milk powder can be used as an infant milk from birth. When bottle-fed, the baby may alienate from breastfeeding. Skimmed milk, demineralised whey (milk), cream, lactose (milk), vegetable oils (sunower oil, rapeseed oil, coconut oil), whey protein powder (milk), vitamins (A, D3, E, K, C, thiamine, riboavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, B6, biotin, folic acid), minerals (calcium, potassium, sodium, magnesium, iron, zinc, copper, iodine, selenium, manganese), oil from the Schizochytrium sp. (DHA; soy lecithin), emusier (lecithins), inositol, choline, L-carnitine, L-phenylalanine.

Store the product in the original package in room temperature . After opening keep tightly closed package in a cool and dry place, but not in the fridge. Product is packaged into the tin can with protective atmosphere. The content of the opened package must be used within 3 weeks. Preserve the powder always in the original package.

Instructions

Usage:

  • The infant formula is suitable for babies in the age 0-6 months.
  • Before opening the package make sure it’s undamaged.
  • Make only one portion at a time.
  • When travelling, boiled water and milk powder in separate bottles can be prepared in advance.
  • Do not warm the infant formula up in the microwave.
  • In storage and preparation of the infant formula please follow strictly the instructions.


Preparation’s instruction:

  1. Wash your hands before preparing the formula.
  2. Wash and sterilise the bottle and the teat.
  3. Boil water for 5 minutes and then let it cool down to 40 °C.
  4. Pour the instructed amount of water (see the table) into a clean
    bottle.
  5. Fill the measuring scoop with formula powder and level it. Do not press the powder into the scoop. Make sure you only use
    the measuring scoop that comes with the formula. Add the appropriate amount of powder according to the amount of water (see
    the table).
  6. Close the bottle, shake until dissolved.
  7. Before feeding make sure that the formula is on a suitable drinking temperature (appr. 37 °C).
  8. Use the formula within one hour after preparation. Dispose of heated product that was not eaten.
